Inspection Report

Following our last full inspection the school was praised by the inspectors for its very good standards and achievements. It was noted that, in all areas, the quality of education and pastoral care was very good, and that the teaching in the school ranged from ‘very good to outstanding.’

Perhaps the greatest achievement for the school was being ranked in the very top category for overall school effectiveness, with Inspectors saying that ‘the school has a high level of capacity for sustained improvement.’

The report notes that ‘the children in all classes are highly motivated and engage readily in the lessons, and listen respectfully and co-operate maturely with one another.’

Commenting on the very good standards, inspectors said that ‘almost all of the children make progress in English and Mathematics at or above expectation, and a significant number are achieving above the expected level.’

They also noted the ‘strong sense of family that exists in the school underpinned by a distinctive caring ethos; and the very positive working relationships at all levels.’

‘The senior leaders are highly effective in leading and managing change and have a strategic direction for developing the school’s provision.’

The report allows parents and the wider community to have great confidence in the work being done within our school and the standards being achieved by the pupils.

Everyone in the school works extremely hard, having a strong desire to always seek further improvement, and this report is a very welcome recognition of our success. Our staff and pupils are second to none, and visitors always comment on the excellent behaviour and good manners of the children when they visit the school.
