  • Internet Safety Workshop

    Wed 29 Mar 2017

We have an important date for your diary!  Please keep the evening of Tuesday 2nd May free, as we will be holding an important session for parents on internet safety, filtering, apps and children's use of smartphones/tablets.

The workshop, delivered by REIM Training Solutions, is designed to educate parents in the practical skills needed to set up parental controls and protect their children online while using their devices.

We also aim to provide knowledge on how to keep your children safe while using some of the frequently used social media sites, Apps (such as Snapchat), chatrooms, online gaming and tips on dealing with cyberbullying.

This is a very practical workshop that aims to:

    • Educate you in what your child is doing online / when using apps and games
    • Help you to monitor their activity
    • Show you how to help keep them safe when using their devices

This is a FREE event and one that will be specifically aimed at parents of primary school age. We hope you’ll be able to attend.

  • Parent Mail App

    Tue 28 Mar 2017

A letter has been sent home about our new Parent Mail App, which can be downloaded to your smartphone/tablet.

This can also be read through your email inbox or via the App itself - on your phone or your iPad/Tablet. The letter is also available to view on the website, in the 'Letters/Forms' section.

Although a hard copy of the letter has been sent out on this occasion, we hope to phase out most of the hard copies that go home, over the next few weeks.

  • Heidi's Charity Challenge!

    Thu 16 Mar 2017

Heidi Graham, one of our P6 pupils, has been raising money for the Little Princess Trust, which is a charity that provides real hair wigs to children that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.

Heidi had her hair cut in school yesterday, so that she could donate this to the Princess Trust, who can use it in a suitable wig. As well as donating her hair, this effort also involves Heidi raising funds for the charity, as a single wig can cost between £350 - £500.

If you’d like to support Heidi in her effort please speak to her Mum, Tracey Graham, or to Heidi, about making a donation. We commend her for making this sacrifice for the Princess Trust to help children who have been affected by cancer in this way.

  • Photo Competition

    Wed 01 Mar 2017

We've had a fantastic range of entries for our photograph competition for World Book Day, and it has been very difficult choosing the winners!  The children had to send in a photo of themselves reading a book, and we judged them in three categories: most original photo, most unusual place, and funniest photo.

The winning photos can be seen in the 'Gallery' section of the website, and all of the entries are on display in school. Thank you to everyone for taking part and for putting so much thought into staging the photographs. We've had great fun looking at them all!
