  • Harvest Service

    Wed 25 Oct 2017
We had a great morning at our Harvest Service! Lots of parents, family & friends came along to support us, and Mr Noel Shields was there to speak to the children. The P2, P4 and P6 classes took part and we really enjoyed their performances. They did so well! Thank you to everyone who was able to come in and be part of the service.
  • New Defibrillator

    Mon 09 Oct 2017
We were delighted to be able to take delivery of a new defibrillator last week, which was very kindly donated to the school by Heartbeat NI. This is a device we hope we never have to use, but one which is extremely valuable to have on our premises.

Pictured is Irwyn McKibbin, chairman of Heartbeat NI, presenting the defibrillator to Mr Peacock; along with Molly (Head Girl), Joshua (Head Boy), Christopher (Deputy Head Boy) and Jessica (Deputy Head Girl). Our sincere thanks to Heartbeat NI for their generosity.
  • Open Day

    Wed 04 Oct 2017

We plan to hold an Open Day on Saturday 4th November, from 10:00am - 12:00noon. This will be an opportunity for parents with a  a child yet to start school a chance to view the school and meet the staff.  Mr Peacock will be available to answer questions, and some of the children will also be there to let everyone see what we do in school. Refreshments will be served and the School Choir will be singing.

This is for anyone in the Mourne district who might be interested in enrolling their child/children in Brackenagh West over the next few years.

We also hope to use the Open Day to allow Dads to come and see the school, particularly those with children in P1 and P2 who may not have had the chance to come into school before.
