Occasionally we have had to close the school due to snow and ice, and I want to remind you on what basis such decisions are taken. Any exceptional closure such as this is unplanned, and is only due to unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions, power failure, or situations which affect the safety of pupils and staff.

I am hopeful that this will not be an issue this year, but as snow is often forecast throughout the winter months I thought it would be good to remind you of our procedures should the situation arise.
